A Social Thinking Curriculumfor School-Aged Studentsfor Teaching Social. Parents and guardians have been offered the opportunity to attend drop-in sessions in which they were trained in supporting the programme at home. The sessions will take place in three week blocks and each will focus on a different social skill. The programme helps young people to better understand themselves, others and the world around them in terms of four aspects of communication. The training sessions will usually take place on a Monday or Tuesday morning, with the expectation that staff and students will reinforce these across the school day. We have introduced a new social skills programme, called ‘Social Thinking’, to all of our students at Wirral Hospitals’ School.
